A little detecting and pit digging for a first....

Did a little detecting and thought i would dig the trash pit at the cellar hole for a first.. Got a couple of old pipes.. Anyone know the date on them approx

The suspender buckles are cool my first with 2 birds on it...

I just brought 2 5 gallon buckets and i screened the big stuff out and emptied the rest in the buckets and took them home for some detail observation..The bottle was near the surface and dates to 1890...Probably about the time it was deserted..

A toasted indian head and the hammer is cool Seeeing im a carpenter it fits just right

I see the base of a Rochester Warners Safe Cure there as well. Too bad that one was shattered. They are nice finds. Maybe $30 to $80 for that type. Looks like you are right on the 1880's-90's with that area. Go find the actual privy and excavate that. You may be surprised at how old it goes back. Maybe pontiled stuff there. Nice finds with the buckles as well. Congrats. jgas

I would say 1860's on the suspender buckles,and I have never seen a Ladies leg pipe quite like yours?I have seen Ladies Leg Tampers,and was only able to find one similar but yours is much older
