Detector(s) used
CTX 3030, Minelab Excalibur II, Minelab GT,Compass XP-Pro,Fischer 1210X
Primary Interest:
Beach & Shallow Water Hunting
CTX 3030 Hit the beach for a couple of hours tonight. Should have left after the third target (pictured) 3.4 grams 10k 3 diamonds. First gold off this beach in a year for me!The tide was coming up the wind was blowing one minute your wet sand the next 4ft of water. The slope became the ocean. The dry sand turned wet and got so soft I could walk in it. I lost several targets because I could not pinpoint the target fast enought before the wave took it back from the dumped sand! I should be happy but I wanted to throw the detector in the ocean

It was the closest detector to the door. I also wanted to try it with a different setting from the lasts hunts. And it seems no one really wants it? Theres room for it on the wall and it doesn't eat much it can stay.

Steve, thumbs up on the ring!!!! I too hate those days where the ocean is just all over you. I try hunting the outgoing on those days. Sometimes that helps and sometimes there is no help. Again, WTG!!!

You went in with nothing and came out with gold! That's a winner in my book! Congrats!
