A little Silver & Gold...

I hunted another sidewalk grass area in an older neighborhood and got some pretty cool finds. I'm always amazed at what comes out of these small sidewalk areas. Anyway, got some silver and gold; 1960 D Rosy, Silver earing, and a really cool gold fish pennant (deep about 8 inches) that looks hand painted and sways right and left when you move it. I also got a brass key, an old clipper bottle opener, part of a toy airplane wing that says ARMY and about $1.50 in clad. Enjoy the pics.

Re: A little Silver & Gold...

talk about dirt fishing, sheesh, nice finds and thanks for sharing.

Re: A little Silver & Gold...

Your fish is cool-I have seen those somewhere. But your clipper is a clip. The slide on the side opened the little catch. It seems pretty much usless, or at least only 50% functional, with the "Clipper" part instead of a ring or another clip. I don't think it could open a bottle on it's best day. Never have seen one like that before.

It's pretty cool, I'm not sure if I want to clean it up any or just leave it as it. I Googled it and couldn't find one like it, thinking it might be an early one or from the 70's...

Brings a new meaning to "dirt fishing"
