Hello everyone!
Summer is almost gone, so I am trying to get out and do some hunting at least once everyday! Today was no exception! My next door neighbors moved away a few days ago but before they left, The father told me that he had lost his gold wedding band and that if I found it, to give him a call! I told him I would. I have been trying for the past three days to find it with no luck.
Today I went over again to see if I could find it. I started at the bottom of a small slope next to the house. I found some modern coins, some trash, and then a modern pocket watch! It may not be old, but it's my first!
After finding a few more coins, I got a nice DEEP quarter signal. Thinking it was going to be clad, I started digging. But it wasn't long till I saw a silver rim. I thought it was going to be a Washington, but when I pulled it out, I saw that it was a BARBER!
I turned it over wiped the dirt off, and saw the date... 1899!!!
WOW! Didn't expect finding a silver, let alone a Barber! That made Silver #21.
After finding the Barber, I next located my 56th wheat penny, a 1940! Found some more clad and ALOT of trash! But it wouldn't last long beacuse then I found a nice 1963 Hotwheels Stingray Corvette from 1978! I love old toy cars! My last find of the day turned out to be silver #22, which was a black dirty 1942 Mercury dime with a hole punched in it from a square nail! After finding that, I made another first... a snake! Just a little one, though, but to me, a snakes a snake! So I smashed it with a wooden board!
Overall, a great hunt for 20 mins.! Thanks for taking a look! Hope you enjoy! HH and God Bless!
