Detector(s) used
Garrett Ace 250
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
While out checking on prospective detecting spots I passed a huge pile of gravel next to some rail road tracks. I decided to check it out, but being without my detector, I had to only use my eyes. Luckily that was all I needed!

Right there in front of me was this little cap gun! It's completely metal and the only markings on it say "ESQUIRE AMSTERDAM NY." I did a little research on the Esquire company and found the gun is likely from the mid to late 50's. After I cleaned out all the dirt, it was in great shape! Any idea on the value, anyone?

I also found a coupes broken toy cars, two marbles, two memorial cents, an aquarium stone, and a very pretty blue stone. I can't wait to get back to this site with my detector!

Nice eyeball finds

You don't find them (toy gun) intact like that very often.
Nice find

Nice finds! You certainly pay attention!

Great finds. That toy gun is in excellent shape being intact.

Thank you, all! It was a pretty special find for me because the gun reminds me of my grandpa - as a kid he loved Hopalong Cassidy and all those cowboy comics.
