A Mother's Day surprise! Perfect emerald green US cartridge box plate!!!
After I brought my Mom a dozen roses for Mothers Day and sat with my Dad for an hour I decided I needed to just get out and get some fresh air. Went to a Union campsite that I have POUNDED over the last 20 years. Three signals was all I dug. The first a musket ball, the second a state staff cuff, and the last, not more than 4 inches in the ground, a BEAUTIFUL US cartridge box plate with both loops on the back! I don't know how it had been missed. I can tell you it certainly made my day! It will be interesting to see what the state staff cuff seal is as the plate was resting less than 5 feet away from it! Man, what a day!
