A new field got cut, but the baler is broken. Dug a couple pulls

Went over to one of my CW sites because I heard a new field I have been wanting to try was cut recently.
Unfortunately the baler is down and there was dry hay all over the place, and the grass is growing back quickly.

The cut grass is thin, but its already 6"s tall in some areas. Most of the field is covered in a 3-6" layer of dry hay that has 4-6" of grass pushing it up.

Ended up with 4 bullets, and 2 were pulled. Ive dug about 40 or so bullets on this land and of those 40 only 2 were pulls.
Today I dug 4 bullets and 2 were pulls. Maybe that is a good sign.

I hope they get the baler fixed soon, so I can get in there before the grass gets too tall.

Thanks Relic Nut. The bullets all came from one general area, so I'm hoping these might have been from a camp site.
Hopefully they will get the baler fixed and get this area cleaned up, so I can get back in there before the grass gets too tall and thick.

Could be. Have you found any melted lead? That's also a good sign of a camp site.

Nope. Well one large piece that would be too large for a single bullet.
Perhaps there is some there, but just out of reach.
Will say that this spot is very high ground and has a good view of the river.
Good news is that I talked to the guy that is in charge of cutting and baling.
He said he should have the baler back by next weekend, so hopefully he gets it early and has it cleaned up sometime next week.
I plan on going back as soon as I can, so I will definitely be doing a follow up.

Good to see new/Old lead being Dug.

Think Ill check the fringes of a 'Pounded' site tomorrow while it's still cooler outside.
