A Noob's First Days

Just got my MD on Sunday, and who could have known I lived on the site of an ancient iron-age encampment! LOL!
I'm loving it, and don't mind digging for things such as the items pictured below. I can't wait until I can head out again. Too bad I have to work for a living...

Thanks, all!
I figure the rim is a wagon wheel rim. It's about 4' in diameter. I didn't have to really dig it out, either. It was mostly revealed (under leaves and debris) out in the wooded area in the back, so not too backbreaking. LOL.

Didn't get a chance to go out today, but I'm hoping to tomorrow.

This is totally addicting. Is there a 12-step group I'm required to join now? Ha-ha!

Nice digs CEEJAY..It is nice to see another New Hampshire native..Welcome to the madness..You asked about a digging tool..I use one that i got for a few bucks it has a serrated edge's so when i hit roots it cuts them..You can hit your local hardware store they have a good assortment of them.
