I did a three hour hunt on Easter Sunday and dug 31 clad coins worth $6.11, a rabies vaccination dog tag, plus a pair of silver dimes....a 1948-D Roosevelt and a 1923 Mercury. The Mercury has seen a lot of use and is wafer thin.

Nice job on the silvers. I like that dog tag also.

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Beautiful Clad! Very nice hunt including silvers but you really killed it with all those quarters.
Battery money!

And only ONE penny. Seriously..? My hunts are usually the opposite, 20 pennies and 1 quarter.
I've gotten to where I don't mind pennies much as long as they are copper.....I HATE the zincs!
Again, good for you!

Thanks pyrogort…..Actually the clad will be spent on precious metal at the end of the year.

I usually dig more pennies than at this hunt but there just weren't any around. I didn't dig this one until two hours into the hunt. I ignore zinc signals so that helps keep the penny count down.

Hey Clad2, great job sniffing those silvers out! ALWAYS a pleasure finding shiny in the hole. Your penny to quarter ratio is backwards! Usually I find one quarter to 20 pennies... and yep, hate those zincolns, I’ve started to pass those by, that 74-75, scratchy, jumpy signal at 2-4 inches... and I’m sure you’ve noticed, the worse they’re ate up the lower the numbers are. If they’re half gone it’s usually a 69-71 signal. But I never pass up any repeatable signal when I’m in a field or at an old farm. Congrats on a successful walk... Ddf.

Thanks DDF.....Most of my hunts, the quarters outnumber the pennies. Ignoring the zinc numbers helps keep the penny total down and that's OK with me.

Nice finds! Silver always makes a hunt fun!

Nice haul. Two silvers is a good day!
