A "peace" or 2 of silver and met a T-netter

Wow ! What a nice day ! Forecast was 60-70% chance of rain. It was beautiful all day and as I type this, it still hasn't rained.

The hunt started like it normally does except that I started walking toward the beach with my scoop still locked in my car Targets were not plentiful even in the dry sand. The surf was pretty rough. I worked just past knee-deep and the waves beat me up a bit. The rest of my time was spent in ankle-deep water and wet sand. While working the water, I ran into TreasurdiggrNY. He had sent me a PM letting me know he was going to be in the area. It was real nice meeting him.
On the walk back to North beach, I swung past a couple kids. The boy was saying that BEEP BEEP BEEP that I love so much. The boy was laying in the water and just as I got the coil a few inches past his feet I get a hit. The ring came up in just one scoop. I put it in my pocket, and moved on, it still had sand covering it. There wasn't much after that, except for the silver peace earring in the last 20 feet of sand before getting to the street where my car was.

Good job Willie , Nice Ring and peace sign - I did'nt call you because it was just too rough out there to
try to go out on that sandbar and it might be too late that ring is most likely buried under three feet of
sand but I will call you sometime on the weekend to talk detecting - Cavedweller

Thanks Treasure_Hunter. Unfortunately there was no gold on this trip. Both items are silver. I was shocked to see the ring was silver. My wife has a pendant that is very similar. Someone at her work made it for her. I figured it was a arts and craft junker, but there's 925 inside the band. Good luck and HH

Try throwing the kid a quarter next time and tell him thanks for the gold ring. That ought to piss them off.
I was out at South beach (Clw) rough there too and few targets.

EZrider: If I remember correctly, he said he found 85 cents in the dry sand. He hadn't been in the water yet. He's supposed to be heading down to hunt with Guzz1, so I'm sure his luck will get better.

Mumszie: The first thing I found in the water was one of those hoop earrings. Guess you left that 1 for me.

Gold-digger: I didn't let the kid bother me. They mock what they don't understand. Digging up that silver ring made it easier to tolerate.
