So I went out with my little sister again yesterday after school, and had an odd find. Before that I found some copper and an 1918 wheat. I was pretty skeptical about what this was, as it was in terrible shape, but nevertheless, an interesting find! I'm posting a pic of the coin, but it is in no way the same shape! I was not sure what to think when I pulled it out of the ground, its about the size of a nickle, but is thick.

Sorry, again, I can't post any pictures... I'm 15, and have little photo-loading capabilities :laughing7:

Mine, was also 1944, barely readable. Found in Maryland, in my own yard. kinda weird. I'm wondering how it happened to get here! My Fisher F2 has treated me well, as many said it would!

Thanks for taking a look at my puny finds, and helping me out!

Fisher F2 is a good machine and you will find lots with it.
Posting a picture is not hard, at the bottom of your post where it says "IMAGES" click browse, select your pic. that's it.

Wish I had got started at 15

Good luck out there.

What you have there is a Franc from Belgium, I hope I spelled that right for ya! Cool find, and you're doing GREAT! :icon_thumleft:

This Belgian Franc is made of zinc and is the variety with the Dutch legend "Belgie" first. The KM # is 128. 42,000,000 were minted in this variety. The other variety with the French legend "Belgique" first had 25,000,000 minted that year. As far as value, both varieties are worth apparently the same and its not much. All information provided is from 2009 Standard Catalog of World Coins 1901-2000. Congratulations on the find :icon_thumright: :icon_thumleft:
