I have 10-15 Roll's of 35 mm film that I never got developed , dating from the early 1990's -2005.

Most are older ; but have been kept in their containers in a dry dark drawer.

Many have said the film has "Most Likely" gone bad.

Is this true? Or is there a 'good' chance they will still be develop-able?

I hope they are still good.

I would still try to get them developed or you’ll never know. Maybe you could start with one first just to see!

Funny you ask. I just maybe two months ago was cleaning my garage and came by old undeveloped rolls of film. I took two to Walgreens and it cost me $15.00 for each. They came out good and it was photos I took of a trade show in Las Vegas and some others when I worked for a company in the later 1990s. These were stored in a hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter garage for years. They don't supply you with the negatives at Walgreens, but give an additional CD instead. I called around to see if I could find a better deal for some others to develop, but they're all wanting the 15 bucks for a 24 exposure roll now.

I stayed at the Stratosphere I think they call it back then. Here's a picture I took, but never looked at in like 19 years.

Tamrock has the right answer.

There should be no problem developing the images unless the film either overheated or got moisture in the case.

Who knows, you may find some images that bring back some really good memories.

cant hurt to try. spend a few bucks a maybe get the surprise of a lifetime.
probably better than playing the lottery.

The color will be off however you will be able to get them developed. There are also adjustments in post production software (LightroomPhotoshop, which will allow you to adjust the color after you get them scanned. )You may also want the images to be scanned after the film gets developed this process is more cost effective if you request it from the company that develops the film for you .i believe Walgreens does this for you . Here is a link to their site which shows they provide both services and there is also a coupon

Hope this helps. Good luck on the window to your past. I use to have a saying while running my studio years ago...”you can’t travel back in time but you can look”

Sounds Good.
$15 Wow. It costs for old school .
Worth it for the Memories tho.

I stayed at the Stratosphere in the 90's , Rode that 'slingshot' ride on top.

I also recall being in Vegas 92 or 94 & they had just built the first leg of the Stratosphere tower , it was hard to gauge but I think it was like 25 stories tall at that point.
Remember thinking "that's gonna be tall & cool whatever it is".
Thanks for the . inspiration.

Dumb Question maybe.
If I have them scanned a Walgreens will they come on a 'Thumb Drive' or in some other package. (so to speak).

Thanks for the link , I asked once , the WG up the road does not do Film but the store 3 miles away does.
I need to do this.

Just thinking .
It's amazing how a photo can capture a moment in time , that only memories & a Time Machine can take us back to that exact moment. ???

Yeah, Las Vegas is a destination for folks all over the world as a highlight to visit. As for me, I've made at times some excuse why I can't go to the trade shows there. When I do go it's leaving that place I enjoy the most. Way too much of that vanity of man for me, but I will say it is a place with an interesting history or so it seems to me.

Not sure how they process them now however from what I remember they provided the images on a cd or dvd. They might place them in the “cloud storage”and then provide you a link.

I feel you completely.

That's why back in the 90's I loved "day" trips to Biloxi, MS , Or Bay Saint Louis , & a Couple to Atlantic City.

' Get in spend yr allotted amount of $ then Get back home that evening.

Made $500 in Atlantic city one time ..(Thanks trump) lol
But
Was on a 4-5 day trip to Vegas & was up $1.100, the first 2 days then lost it all on the 3rd Day ; :BangHead: .
Let's say the remaining 2 day there were depressing.:unhappysmiley:

Did see Hoover Dam (old Roadway a-top the Dam), & Spread my Grandmothers Ashes on top of Mt , Charleston , in 1998 ( the last time I was there). Now every time I see Mt, Charleston in pic's of Vegas , I can think fondly of my Beloved Grandmother R.I.P. Dorthy L. Johnston March 17, 1923 -November 13 1998.:angel3: :icon_thumleft:
