Today I was looking on Ebay today at 1 OZ Silver bullion bars an rounds .....I ran across one I'd never seen before it was a 1 OZ 999 Slivered layered bar .....OK whats the difference between a regular 1 OZ silver 999 bar and a 1 OZ 999 silver layered bar ??? :icon_scratch: its still 1 OZ of 999 Silver right ????

A few yrs back i bought what i though was solid silver bar 999 . but it wasnt it was coated with 999 silver . i not sure about the word layered. it could be coated. It might be a good idea to ask the seller to find out on this. even tho it say 1 oz. it could be just plated
 

You really need this spelled out?

It's a 1oz bar of some kind of metal with a layer of silver on it. They aren't selling 1oz of silver for 25% of spot.
 

thanks thats kinda what I was thinking just wasnt 100% sure ........better too ask an be safe then not .
 

Not just silver...

There's been a post on another forum trying to encourage people to buy gold coins from the U.K. These are "layered" coins as well. They do say so in the ads but you have to plough through a page of rubbish suggesting they are the ideal start for those wanting to collect gold coins.
If your paying nothing thats what you get !
