Most of us just save them and wait until silver spot price is high. Then maybe sell some to a coin shop or eBay .

I keep mine, too. I consider it a hedge against infliation--part of the portfolio. Precious metals will always have value(albeit it does go up and down). As Dannycoco said, coin shops and ebay are your best bets for turning them in for cash--if that's what you want to do. 7up

I have seen youtube videos about roll hunting, so here is my question! Where do you sell 40% silver, or copper, or war nickels? Do most people just hold them, or what?? Just curios because just not sure how one makes money this way. I check rolls but not more than 50 bucks at a time, not boxes like I have seen people do

The best thing that you can do with junk silver that you get for face value (or dig from the ground) is to wait until the ratio of gold spot price vs silver spot price is below 60. Then, go to a coin show and trade approximately 70oz of junk silver for 1oz of fine gold.

I look at is as for the most part I have only got 50 cents in the coin, and that is still worth 50 cents, so I'm never out anything. If I keep it in a box and it gains value anything over the 50 cents is a win. When someone values that 40% silver coin at more than 4 or 5 dollars, it is sold. I say as it as I can never loose my 50 cent investment.
