This topic is covered pretty regularly by many people, people who are very good at getting permissions to detect properties. I have first hand, seen my quality finds shoot skyward just because I bit the bullet and opened my mouth. I had absolutely nothing to lose as I walked up to the people and politely asked. I almost immediately began finding wheaties on a regular basis and in less than a week, recovered 7 silver coins so far plus numerous other things. After you finally ask and get permission to a place like this, you kick yourself for not asking sooner. So they say no, oh well. But even tho they said no, be patient and wait, timing is everything in this and people sometimes change their minds. You can't ask until you open that mouth and when you do, make the best of the opportunity.
