Today was a busy day for me. I had so many errands to run! :(
And the weather was sooooo nice! Finally, I got a couple hours
free and just had to get my "fix".

I went to the soybean field as it was closest. Figuring that a couple
relics would beat no walk at all. :)

For the short time I could walk, it proved to be both fun and interesting.

For example, I happened upon a golf ball, (in the middle of a soybean field!?!) LOL

Anyway, When I saw it, I playfully waved the detector coil
over it saying, "I wonder if they ever made 'em with a gold core." LOL
AND....to my astonishment, it beeped!! Whaaaaaa!?!???

Well, it turned out that the golf ball just happened to be sitting directly
over a target. LOL

An old piece of lead. But, it sure gave me a laugh! :)
I said, Good one Lord!

And almost as if to answer me, I found this:

He looks a little better cleaned up but the poor thing
has had a REALLY rough life!

Here's the rest:

Another couple surprises:

Can only make out "WAR...." on the back of the shiny one. :dontknow:

To each....their own. ;)

He's had a VERY tough life and ultimately just thrown away. Until I came along
and lifted him back into the light of day. He'll have a special place in my display.
Warm, and comfortable. :)

Finding ANY old coin is always a thrill for me. But, to find this one,
here, and it being such a fine example of olden times. I mean, a 2 cent piece
is odd enough. But, holed with a square nail, and coming out when it did,
in this fine old field. Well, it just made my day!

Thanks for peeking folks!

My plan for the day was to take care of my fix too, instead I got called into work. Glad you could get out and find a bucket lister for me. Sweet walk and a couple old flat buttons. Those golfballs will be a bonus to send out across another field one day. Lol

Google carved golf balls and you might pick up a new hobby for when you can't go a walking. That is the coolest holed coin it has character.

Glad you got your time in for today!! And your finds are better than none at all, but a 2 cent piece........outstanding!!
I especially love your playful attitude.......it's infectious!!
Tomorrow I get to play!!

Nice coin! I had to laugh at the golf balls. I have to admit that I've hit golf balls out into fields before. When I don't feel like driving to a practice range, grab a few junker golf balls and hit them out into a field... :)

Congrats on the 2 cent pc! That's a great find and a nice hunt. When we were kids, we would hit golf balls with a baseball bat. They would go out of sight. We were hellyans. Lol.

Fantastic! Love the square hole. Whoever punched that hole wanted to hold on to that coin tight and never lose it. Nice hunt bud!

Congrats on some neat finds Whadi. A 2 cent piece with a hole in it is better than no 2 cent piece at all.

Nice finds ! Button may read Warranted :icon_thumright:

Awesome 2 cent piece with a story to tell!
Golf balls turn up in some odd places, i have found quite a few washed up on the beach, and there's no golf course around.

Nice bunch of surprises you found! Congrats on working a little MD'ing in.

The Blingister has some shinny...and Fishy has a new round friend...???

I may try this Sunday but hopes are not high.

It's nice to see you mixing it up with a field hunt. Congrats on pulling that 2 cent piece. :occasion14:

My gosh, Whadi, you sure are on a roll!

Great finds, congrats. Sub 8-)

Great job, Whadi! A 2 cent piece is among the many coins on my bucket list. The not so normal hole gives it great character. Stellar!

Now you can open up a driving range. A 2 cent piece is one coin most of us don't have.

Congrats, Whadi! Looks like you had a great time. I agree, any coin is good coin - just my 2 cents.

Soybean! Nice finds Gary, that one is still on my list.

Great find on the coin!

Congrats on the two center and other finds...
