It looks to have Iron in it.Probably some Iron ore.

Interesting coloration on the inside of that. I hope that helps ID what type of stone it is.

Looks like shale or slate. Iron pyrite ("fools gold") commonly can be found filling in thin cracks in these rocks. Found that to be the case during my own metal detecting in CA.

Looks to me like "rainbow" or "peacock" copper ore. Yours is doesn't look to be that rich, check this one out.

I've found some peacock ore locally, an ancient volcanic vent close to where some gold was discovered and mined. The old timers had found
the peacock ore also, because there was an old prospect hole located with my find. I thought it was neat anyhow, but not profitable to mine.
