Found this large copper coin - an 1811 "2 Kopecks" from Imperial Russia. A Russian Cossack must have moved to NY a long time ago. In all seriousness though, it looks like someone turned it into a button at some point. Maybe it saw Napoleon's invasion of Moscow in 1812!

Another highlight of today was this American large cent. It's in pretty rough shape, but it's a Matron Head, so that's freaking awesome in my book! Only made between 1816-1839! I can't really see the date too well but I'm positive the last number is an 8 and the number before it is either a 2 or 3 so it's either a 1828 or 1838.

The final coin from today worth mentioning is this British large cent. I'm 99% sure it's King George III. Can't see the date but it looks like a variety made in the late 1790's or early 1800's, but I can't say for certain.
