Went out and got a few more interesting things, several more pieces of pottery, some nice examples of reeds springs chert and Florence c, a large broken bone I suspect is bison, and this triangle.
It’s about a half inch long, and looks to be a retouched flake. It’s a shame it’s broken but it’s still about as small and thin as I’ve ever found

Great colors I found one my last hunt in the creek with a broken tip maybe I can find it. Idk how the tiny ones get snapped

It could be alibates, I have recovered a little of that material, but being such a small sample it could also just be a patch from a speckled material.

Good call on the impact fracture I hadn’t thought about that, another little bit to it’s story.

The site is probably a half trash pit, with mussel shells and burnt bone. I’ve wondered if the little triangles I find could have been lost in the animals they were processing and ended up in the trash.
