I was looking at some old bottles I had found and I don't think I ever figured this one out, the only marking on it is R 110 on the side at the bottom. anybody seen this mark before?

I don't remember the details exactly but as cw0909 knows the base is an important clue, I'm pretty confident its pre 1930 when nearly all bottles had a crosshatched texture on the base and looks possibly hand made. I put in pictures of the seam too. I think the seam running all the way through the top says something but I don't remember what. I'm curious of the R 110 I have 3 other pre-prohibition I've found falling in the 1881-1930 range I was curious if this could be a 4th... the others were easy they had the brewery name embossed right on the bottles . one was the same color another a bit more clear and third a dark amber so I don't think color rules out a beer bottle.

Crown tops were first patented in 1892, so that would be a starting point for age.

if the seam goes through the top it is post 1910 and there is no way it is hand made. like what was said, a fairly common type, but still nice to have.

the best I could find was a company that was A 110 and one site said some bottles had nothing but a mold number, ill look into the RI 10 but if that's a dead end I'm going with mold number, 1910 - 1930 sounds good to me, I was hoping I could tie another bottle in with the region. I've found bottles marked Salina, Wichita, Chanute, Parsons, and Erie as well as heim brewery and Kansas city breweries company but this one may be just a bottle.
