Sorry for the play on words in the title... Just can't help myself...
In the last 2 month I've hit 4 solid cwr of 40%ers, 2 solid rolls of bu 90% Kennedy halves... And today... 4 solid rolls of 90% Washington quarters
Not to mention my teller tray find a few weeks back of 20 silver Washingtons and 30 silver Rosie's. It's just been a really fun last couple of months.
I was dumping a bag full of dimes in the coin machine, got my ticket and proceeded to the teller line. I cashed out when the teller next to me said don't go anywhere until you see me. She finished up with her customer and I stepped up. She said a lady came in and cashed about 15 rolls of quarters and one broke open. Solid silver. She said she only looked at a few of them, and wanted to keep two of them for herself. She knew at least 2 more were solid. I bought the rest and couldn't wait to crack them open
I ended up with 4 solid rolls of silver Washingtons. Mostly 1964 (x94). But I was able to pull a few 40's and 50's dates. Filled 17 holes in my album!!!
Silver porn below
Oh and yes... Treats for her and her co-workers next week. I can't stress enough about being nice, treating tellers with respect and bringing them treats from time to time. I was definitely lucky that lady didn't know what she was cashing in, but I didn't find these because I was lucky... I was given the opportunity to buy them because I built a good relationship with a teller. Take the time to do so, it can pay off
