Steve & I went out today, very few signals at all between the both of us.

I had 3 = a Dr. Pepper can, a lead fishing weight, and a junk ring. Steve found fishing weights.

I looked at the ring as best I could in the water and it said 18k GP, so just another junk ring.

Well, came away deflated, came home and got out the scope just to make sure before I put it in the junk ring jar.

And, what the heck, it said 925/18K G P FC, so it was plated over Silver :) Deflation, such target free hunt, nothing to show, and voila!

An unexpected delight!

Weighs in at 3.76g, so not a big haul, but still so delighting after so much disappointment...

Nice! Personally ANY ring I find is treasure to me. A junk ring may not be worth much in cash, but it is worth a lot in confidence that you are "doin' it right".

I'm always happier with a tungsten ring than a dollar in change.

I've three containers:

Precious Metals
Junk Rings
Real Junk Rings

You find some Super Real Junk Rings sometimes - not for display purposes!

I have individual glass jars for everything, when one gets full I start another,.....:laughing7:

I'd take that in a heartbeat. My last 13 rings are junk. A couple are cool looking, but no value.

Congratualtions on the nice ring! :occasion14:
