Access to the Beach at Saint Patrick's Air Force Base

Two Questions:

1) Has anyone ever done any metal detecting on the beach by Saint Patrick's Air Force Base?

2) Is that beach private or public?

Until someone pipes in - I searched

and found...Anyone know if its legal to MD the beach at PAFB? (Jun 05, 2008). I have had no problems swinging my MD on the beaches at Cape Canaveral.

I am not 100% sure the beach is open for detecting by civilians . Retirees, 100% DAV , & others are allowed when camping on base.
