Ace 250 or GTAX 550? Which should I get

I know of a 550 that was bought by a friend that did not want to put the time into figuring out the machine and I can get it from 250-300. I think I can get it for $250 though. Should I get it or go with the new ACE 250? This will be my first detector and I am in Oklahoma.

I have owned the gtax550 for some time now had great success with it at the beach, parks
out camping etc. the ace250 I know nothing about all I know is that it has more modes
than the gtax550 does I'am sure you can't go wrong with either one. depth on the 550
i have detected coins down to 7" and the pinpoint works good also
