alright, this is not so much a versus as a comparison. I got the 250 for xmas and bought the BHID at the beginning of December. The 250 i've had out about 4 times and today was the BHID's maiden voyage. It was supposed to be 50 here today but with the wind it feels like 25. Anyway, the BHID is interesting. Took the two to a soccer field and 1st hit with the BHID was 25 cents at about 4 inches. It really locks onto a signal and pinpointing wasn't too difficult.(something i was worried about). It ran very 'stable'. The 250 with it's display seems a lot more jumpy than the Whites... Like it often has a hard time deciding what it is 'seeing'. That said, the BHID is only supplying a tonal response and lighting one of three lights. The 250 is trying to provide a more exact target ID, depth and a better pinpointing response. After my short run today i am really confident the BHID will do what i want it to at the beach this summer. Cannot wait for warmer weather. Am happy with both my machines and just want to use them.

Apples and Oranges here. The BHID is a 2 frequency detector made to take on heavy salt and minerals. The 250 has factory set GB, single frequency, TID and is made for moderate soil. The 250 works great for what it's designed to do.

without a doubt KH....that's the only 2 machines in my arsenal though so i was just giving them both a test run...CAN'T wait to try that whites in the water...really am impressed at how it locks onto a good target

You have a great combo there! I have read only good stuff in the BHID. I also know first hand the 250's are a great detector also.
