I did some air tests with my wgi efx MX100E (10 inch coil), and my Garrett 250 (5x9 inch coil)with the following items, here are the results that I came up with.
Wgi efx MX100E:
Pull tab: 12 inches
Zinc penny:11.5 inches
Nickel:12 inches
Dime:11 inches
Quarter:12 inches
Garrett Ace 250:
Pull tab: 8.5 inches
Zinc penny:8.25 inches
Nickel :7.5 inches
Dime:7.5 inches
Quarter: 8.25 inches
Based on repeated signals. To sum it up in my opinion to anyone starting out for the 130 dollars the efx mx 100e is the better choice than the Garrett ace250 that cost well over 200 dollars a lot of people trashed the efx I thought the 250 would smoke it i was disappointed and the efx has more bells n whistles back light ground balencing not many reviews on them other than people bashing it cuz it's built in china so I'd figure I'd campare it to a staple detector like the 250 I welcome all your criticism after all its your right thanx
