So is the Ace 250 better on dry sand or wet sand? Currently MDing in the North Myrtle beach area.

From what I've heard, wet sand will make a md go crazy. You need ground balancing on your md to be productive in wet sand. You can still do good, just going to have a lot of noise.

I'll let you know in about two weeks. I'm taking a trip to North Myrtle, I've got an AT Pro and my brother will be borrowing my 250, I'll try to do some dry and wet comparisons and put it on my YouTube MD channel.

Sounds good. Ill be back in TN by then but would be useful for future hunts. I too will post my results from my hunts here.

When I lived in Destin, FL .. The salt water made mine go crazy... But it didn't effect it in the damp sand. Just when I got in the water.

Really? I let me son use my ACE 250 on the Gulf Beaches and it acted the same as it was on dry dirt...Who knows

I know im glad i bought a coil cover before coming here. Shells everywhere or should i say shell pieces everywhere!

I used the 250 on NJ wet sand and it falsed pretty bad. Dry sand was perfect, ran at max sen. and did pretty well.

I'm curious on how my At pro will work at gulf shores. I'll let you know in June.

I'm curious myself. Got my ATP last month and so far learning it pretty well in pro mode. Heading back to NJ in July.

This Kentucky boy doesn't get on a beach much. I'm still learning my pro mode. I mostly md old structures. I might even start enjoying the beach more now.lol

So what i have learned is the 250 will false alot in wet sand. To fix this i ran it 3 clicks from max and it worked pretty good but then again how much did i not fine. In the dry sand it worked great. Im now a tent stack MASTER. Back to TN to hunt the normal old houses and such!!!!
