Acorn broach?

Found this very thin, stamped piece with a green patina at an old homesite. My buddy thought it might be a brooch given those two bare spots in the backside. Said a pin might have been fastened there.

I’d say one half of a sash buckle?

Brooch or similar for the acorn piece. The circular piece is a mid-1800s sash buckle
