Acorn shaped thing

Hey everyone ! I'm new to metal detecting , recently purchased the AT pro and this is from my second hunt, was only an hour long. I'm in upstate NY and found this near the Erie Canal along the Mohawk River. It appears to made of copper and silver plated?? It's around 1.5" and has some iron on top, also the round part rotates. Any thoughts are appreciated !
