✅ SOLVED Adornment?

found this on a site that has history back to the 1750's . It has two hooks folded over on the backside that could have been for attaching it to something.
I was thinking it might be some kind of clothing adornment/ pin?
Can anyone ID?

What you found is a colonial leather ornament. It would be attached to leather horse tack as decoration. Great find
