Thought it was lead at first it’s fairly heavy but it’s not soft enough to be lead. Put it between a pair pliers and it barely left a mark

There isn’t any sign of a fire pit or burn pile but all of this was found in the same general spot. And one piece does look like it has a peice of charred stick inside it.

I’m thinking it’s just slag or melted pop cans. Sorry....

Since it's fairly hard and dense it's presumably not aluminum, so it could be zinc which has a reasonably low melting point, or some sort of "white metal" alloy.

If zinc blobs are anything like zincolns though, they may have a hard time staying underground for long without corroding. Better guess than me though, it doesn't seem like lead or aluminum either.

My guess is zinc or more likely pewter. I believe the reason the "Stinkin' Zincolns" blow up like popcorn and self-destruct is not because they are zinc, but due to the electro-chemical reaction that is set up between the zinc and copper together in the moist soil. I think zinc alone would react differently.
