Went down to the good ol' USA today, hit one of my fav spots and it didn't disappoint. It's a wide open area where the giant old school used to be.

My first good find was a solid low 90's, but with some iron scratch mixed in. Out popped this little leather case with rusty snaps on it. I pried it open and YES! There was a silver coin inside! This is the first time I have ever found a silver coin inside of something. This thing still has mint lustre on it.

The next good signal was a sweet 94 from all directions, knew it was gonna be good.
I started noticing dead spots in the grass, and most of these spots had large junk just under the surface. Somebody had been detecting and digging all the surface crap and leaving it in the hole. I even had to pick up some junk that had been tossed beside some baby trees someone has planted and is taking care of. I got a good solid signal on the edge of one of these dead spots, sure enough a wheat penny. I think somebody is new to detecting. That's fine, but get a pouch and REMOVE YOUR SH__ so NOBODY HAS TO DIG IT AGAIN
I got thirsty, so off to the gas station I went. Water, and the rare opportunity to pick up some chilli cheese Fritos (unavailable in Canada). I paid in Canadian, and the girl said she has to give me American change to which I replied "that's cool with me". Get in the truck and realize she gave me a SILVER Rosie in the change. Seeing as I got this on a detecting excursion, I am totally counting it.
It was a really fun day, here's the take minus the junk.
