With no sports to watch and trying to avoid crowds I’ve been looking through some stuff. I’m kind of rediscovering things the more I learn. I didn’t think much of this when I picked it up, just a hunk of material

Was going to ask if it was a square knife like what had been popping up on this site but it hit me while taking pics it’s probably an adze, anybody agree/disagree?

Preform abandoned due to stacking on both sides of the basal thinning strike (final image) IMO
 

I could see it being an adze.
 

It's hard to tell, if it's a Adze the center of the blade will be off to one side, if chipped celt it will be in the center. I also could see this as a preform.

Guess it depends on where you look, the edge kind of cuts diagonally across the center line
 

An adze will have an offset "bit" on one end. This piece does not appear to have that feature.
