After 3 weeks of no halves showing up, 2 boxes at my bank!

So the ever wonderful Tina called me today to let me know that my boxes are in. She has been ordering me two boxes a week but Brinks never drops any off, well they are finally here. I am going to be picking them up shortly. Hopefully the wait is worth it. The first box she ordered had only one 40% in it and though it was not a skunk, it was a little bit of a disappointment. I do hope these pay off somewhat good. I would be happy with ten 40% and a single 90% out of the two boxes.

Box 1 done.. Box 2 to be started. I have not searched for errors yet, I have seperated all pre 1990 to look for errors once I am done searching for silver.

First half of box 1 started off great with 14 - 40% halves.
Second half of Box 1 didnt cough up anything until the last roll, another 40% half.

Still not 90% halves out of the wild..

did get my first 2 NIFC

Going to do Box 2 now.

UNBELIEVABLE.

I always thought people were lying about boxes like these, well I must say.. they do exist. I think someone lost a collection to Brinks.

4 - Walking Liberty ( 2x date unknown, 1941 and 1945 and one was a ender)
9 - 40% Halves
1 - 1940 penny the size of a half dollar, Unknown country, Georgivs VI
1 - Gold Plated Bi Sentential

Off to finish the second half of this Phenomenal box.

Wow - that 2nd box is a grand slam - '64 Kens, a Ben, Walkers & a Barber & a '40 British Penny too!

Hope the rest of the box is just as good!

Btw, it's kind of been the same way at my main p/u bank. I had trouble getting my half boxes during the holiday's but last week I got a couple of great boxes with a total of 56 keepers! I've got 2 boxes to p/u from this bank tomorrow that I've been anxiously waiting on - I just hope I won't be too disappointed - but I probably shouldn't get my hopes up too much.

Those are some great boxes for sure - with a lot of variety too! Btw, just curious does that '37 WL have a mint mark? The D's & S's had lower mintages for that year but they still have to be in rather high grade to have much numis. value but I still like the lower mintage coins if I can find 'em.

Anyway congrats on the great boxes - and that Barber is an amazing find!

No mint mark on the 37. They are in pretty good condition for the most part, I wonder if their value is higher than melt.

some of those Walkers look in nice cond. and so does that BF too. Walkers are very popular among collectors as you probably know and a nice one should always be worth @ least melt if not a little more. Same goes for that Barber too - unless it's in rough shape. It looks a little dark but I can't see it too well - what kind of condition is it in?

I was thinking about going down to the coin shop tomorrow after I finish checking all the pre 1990's for errors and see if they will give me more than melt for the walkers because of the condition they are in. I will exchange the price for some extra silver. If I can get 1 Kennedy 90% and a dime for each walker, I will gladly accept that offer. I am all about total oz, nothing else heh.

you probably won't be able to get top $ from a coin shop - remember he has to sell what he buys and make a profit too. You probably might get more money on CL. Whatever you decide, gl & H$H! Maybe you've hit a silver vein with your boxes like I sure hope I have with my boxes lately.

I dont expect top dollar but if I could get even 1 dime extra in trade, its extra silver for the collection and that is all I am after.

Whatever happens, I cant walk away from today unhappy and not excited. This was truly an experience and I do hope the next boxes pay out as handsomely.

Wish I could get more today. Going to order more for the next Tuesday and hope for the best! Perhaps the streak will continue. Wish I had more money to use, I would get 4. I might be able to.. going to call in on some people who owe me money. I have $2500 currently owed to me.

Ill be putting it to some damned good use. All it will be used for is CRH and nothing else. I need to get another $3,000 together to finish out my CRH funds.

Tina will be rewarded tomorrow, without a doubt.

I've been getting 4 boxes a week, and I've never found that much silver in a month's worth of 16 boxes.
