After work hunt gets me my oldest and first civil war period IH. 1864!!

I went out after work today to try my luck at our spot. About a half hour in, detecting along a fence I get a nice tone(didn't check the vdi on my f75) cut a plug and located it in the hole. Knew instantly it was an IH because the back was perfect with no dirt on it! Later checked for a date and it is a 1864...my oldest IH yet! Plus pretty stoked to find my first civil war era coin. That was the best find for the evening. Thanks for looking.

I was surprised after I saw the date. It was in such good shape I thought it was a later one...maybe the early 1900's. Glad to see it was an older one.

I have found 13 this year and this being my oldest is probably one of the best shape ones. Kinda funny how some can be so bad off and others not...especially considering they come from the same property.
