There were 2 Green Herons there. One proved to be quite the hunter. He managed 2 bullfrog tadpoles while I watched him. As you can see, they are at the stage where they have legs now.

When I got home, I saw this fellow in our garden that used to be a tadpole.

I watched an Egret catching minnows a couple days ago. Amazing the accuracy they have in catching something moving fast in the water. Be like us trying to catch a tadpole with a pair of tweezers I'm thinking?

Lol! That was after he swallowed the first big tadpole. I think it gave him a shiver going down:laughing7:

I bet it would be like trying bow-fishing. Supposedly it's not very easy!
 
Thanks for posting the photos, Old Dude. Herons of all kinds are fun to watch. Great Blue herons in my area.
