Hi all, I went metal detecting in one of my favorite fields the other day, and writhing two minutes I found this sitting on top of the soil. It's a beautiful little glass button. It looks black but turns a beautiful shade of red in the light. It seems somewhat crude in construction and design, which makes me think it might have significant age to it. The finds in the field date back to the mid 17th c. It is approx. 1/2" x 1/4", and is one piece. Any help would be appreciated!

IDK, but maybe 1910 to 1920's ???

My first thought was 1950s-60s. I was around then and this just looks familiar to me.

Hmm thanks for the input! 50s and 60s doesn't really match the time period for the other finds in the field. Early 1900s could be a possibility
