Age of Axe?

Found this basalt double-bitted axe head this weekend on the Canadian River:

Almost didn't pick it up because it looked like just any other river rock (except for the worked area on one end I could see). It's well-worn in the center portion, I suppose because of the handle attachment. Anyone have any idea of age? I'm guessing Archaic but really don't know.

It's definitely an axe not a preform.? The center portion is worn from the axe handle rubbing it for probably years.? It appears it may have also been resharpened.? The bottom edge is broken as it appears the user hit it accidently in use.? I'm just trying to get an idea of age.? I have all of Hothem's books but he doesn't list many double-bitted flaked axes (plus his books are ridiculously hard to find anything).? One OU publication indicates late Archaic and that these types of axes replaced celts in many cases because they were more quickly made. Late Archaic seems to young to me but then what do I know
