I have no idea on age, but here is a chart that has been used here on Tnet several times that will help you tell what different styles there are out there. Yours looks closest to either the "Virginia" or the "Baltimore/Jersey" style axe head.

It is a Baltimore-Jersey Axe. I found one that looks identical to yours today and have been looking for a date too. I do know they made them until at least 1929...Hope this helps.

I agree. I've dug one just like it as well. Give it an apple cider vinegar bath for about a week.
