I have a spot that I've found
IH's 1890 to 1907
V nickles 1888 to 1908
Barber dimes 1895 to 1906
Lincolns 1909 to 1929

Since the lincolns are as new as 1929, where are the buffalo nickles, and
mercury dimes? (still looking)

It's interesting that you're finding Barber dimes but not Mercs. Any place I've found Barbers I've found far more Mercs.

I guess the answer would be timing. Maybe there was a big gap of time when the site had little use?

As for the wheats you dug they could have been lost as late as the Rosie era.

As for the lack of Buffs, man, those babies are hard to find anywhere today. I found the first dated buff last week since the early 80's. I've dug plenty of V nickels, Barbers, Indians, etc., but Buffs are hard to come by.

One thing that tells us a lot is when we dig a bunch of different coin types from one single hole. This can tell us something about how long a particular coin type was in circulation.

The site is a parking lot in front of an old bath/shower house in an old
mining camp. According to the sanborn maps there was a hotel right
next to it also, as late as 1927.
Took an Exp 2 there today, and got one more 1919d lincoln. It appears to be on a par with the sov. which I've always used in the past as far
as depth goes. (in factory presets anyway)
