Was wondering if anyone is familiar with gold Hallmarks? Maybe know of a good link to website?
Some poor guy must have lost this ring while building his stone walls or whatever else he was working on.
I had also found a 1814 Large cent next to ring today, and in the past a couple other large cents in general area. Like I says there is just large stone walls back in these woods, and I imagine an old house use to be back there.
I was just curious about the Hallmark and placing a date on this ring.
I would love to return this ring but I think this dude is long long gone, God rest his soul.

There are initials but no date in the ring? That seems pretty strange. There are plenty of pages of gold hallmarks out there. Absolutely no way to return a wedding band unless you are looking for it for someone. Even with initials and a date you need to know what county and state they were married in. Looks like a very old 18K ring though. Most the ones I find with raised karat marks are from the teens or earlier. Some have had dates inside.

if you send it to me I could see it better

I thought that was very funny Jeff Gordon!
