Age of ring???

help with Age of ring

Found this ring metal detecting would any one have an ideal of the age of this ring? it is .925 silver with an unknown center stone? I'm just guessing maybe the 40's? Thanks for any help!

what is the image on or beneath the stone?

Looks like a decent ring. No idea on age, though...

I think they were still marking silver sterling in the 40s. So sometime after that seems to be some gray area on the topic. I haven't been able to nail down the exact date when they started making 925. Nice ring though what did it come in at 76-80ish?

I didn't notice the image in the stone until I took the pictures. I can't seem to make it out either. Yes it came up right around 80-81 on the Garrett AT Pro.

according to Wikipedia, the copyright symbol (C inside a circle) was introduced in the United States by a 1954 amendment to the Copyright Act of 1909, so it's evidently made after that date. My personal feeling is that it's from the 1980's
