what is the image on or beneath the stone?

Looks like a decent ring. No idea on age, though...

I think they were still marking silver sterling in the 40s. So sometime after that seems to be some gray area on the topic. I haven't been able to nail down the exact date when they started making 925. Nice ring though what did it come in at 76-80ish?

I didn't notice the image in the stone until I took the pictures. I can't seem to make it out either. Yes it came up right around 80-81 on the Garrett AT Pro.

according to Wikipedia, the copyright symbol (C inside a circle) was introduced in the United States by a 1954 amendment to the Copyright Act of 1909, so it's evidently made after that date. My personal feeling is that it's from the 1980's
