Age of trumpet mouth piece?

Hi this is a trumpet mouth piece that was found in St. Jakob Austria and I was just wondering how old it is. It weighs 66.1 grams and is approximately 3 inches and 3/16ths in length.

I would say second half 19th century The Metropolitan Museum of Art - Search the Collections but could be early 20th century. what type of metal is it. It looks silver plate, but what is the base metal its plated on? Looks rusted.

I play the trumpet and IMO i dont think its a trumpet mouth piece. Looks a little to small. Maybe bugle or cornet or even french horn. Nice find. ALso without the brand and size on the side i dont think there is a way to date it Yet again i could be wrong.


EDIT: after looking at mine its about the same size. Cool find!
