Well found a ton of nothing today so decided to use electrolysis to clean up some finds that have been in my to do pile. This Crotal bell unfortunatley is smashed...guess Santa won't be visiting me this year since it doesn't ring. However it cleaned up good and I still have some cleaning to do. This was found in my back yard here in Shippensburg. It is not magnetic and doesn't ring anymore. This town was founded in 1730. I am just trying to get an idea of its age from you pro's . Here it is cleaned up somewhat.

What's the maker's mark on the bottom if it has one?

The bottom is destroyed so no maker mark. From the link mick56 sent it looks like it is late 1700's. I gotta find one of these that rings!
