As a Veterans Day surprise, my wife coordinated flight for her Step-Dad, who served our country for 32 years....
The 1940 Steerman flew over Ft. Myers for 20 minutes....it's been a wish of his to fly "one last time".....
Thanks to the foundation, it grants these flights to retired veterans in their golden years.
It was such a beautiful day too!

OUSTANDING and thank your step-dad for his service!

What an awesome thing to do! Give your wife a squeeze from me!

Wow, that's awesome!! I got hooked on airplanes ever since getting my first ride ever in an old Alon Aircoupe. Dang thing looked and sounded like it was falling apart, but I didn't care. Spent many years after that in my local EAA (Experimental Aircraft Asso). ...That seems like many lifetimes ago. Thanks for the pics and the memories! :notworthy:
