Alberta, Canada clubs?

Just wondering if there are any prospecting/MD'ing clubs around Calgary, Alberta that anyone knows of? I've found old links to a couple, but they seem to have closed down. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.

There isn't much in the general Calgary area in the way of gold - at least not in the placer form. Edmonton has the North Saskatchewan River so there will probably be a club up there. I know that there is a club in Red Deer, but also that it isn't up to much, or so I've been told.
If you know of an area where gold can be panned - something that would be good for weekend prospectors, perhaps you could get something going on your own in the way of an organization.
