Hey hey diggers!
Got out digging with Iron Patch for a few hours recently.
This little gem popped out of the earth to save my detecting day from ruin. Still lots of crops in but a couple of old faves were open but sadly the ships have sailed on many of those sites....the best finds are collected and the toenails are all that remain. But this little guy was a cool surprise and pretty much too cool not to share.
From what I gather, it could date as early the 1890s to probably the 1920s...so about a hundred years old.
Kicker is...I found the button 1000 km from Boston!
Anyway it's going to be a great addition to my early railway relic collection.

lol....I guess that little tidbit never made to the original story...there are early transit tokens that they used but this is a uniform button...great question
