I found these today in a sand wash on a creek. The left hand piece may be debitage. It is thin enough to be a flake. The other piece looks like a worked edge, but may be from water tumbling. I’m prepared for “just a rock” on either or both pieces. It is funny how they catch my eye vs the thousands of other rocks lying there.
Thanks!
they are both worked , the black one looks almost whole. the other is piece of flint.

Looks like flakeage to me
Thanks to you and C H Luke. I tend to get paranoid on these. I feel kinda like Charles Manson at a parole hearing: fingers crossed, but prepared for,”no, not this time.”

I believe you have found your first for sure artifacts. Both look to be scrapers the tan one being a flake removed I can see the bulb of percussion on the one side. Black one might be a broken tip I can’t tell for sure but does show work. Congratulations 👍
Now follow that washout to the end and find their friends

I appreciate the feedback!

Im confident on the tan one, the black one looks like it has a little fire damage. That makes me suspicious if the rest is human or fire, either way though I’d say it’s at least debitage.

You're definitely on the right track with those, hopefully good things will come from that area.
