I'm enjoying my last week on Long Island by doing some last detecting up here. Went back to the site where i found the hard times token, but had to settle for 8 wheats, 4 44, a 45, 36, 48 and 16, a 41 and 46 jefferson and 91 cents in clad. Since I've been finding indian heads every time i've gone there I decided to search a church in downtown riverhead i've been picking away at. I searched a small area with the 6x10 dd coil and found my oldest coin to date, a barely readable 1864 bronze indian, one year older than the first one I found last year. Also found a bent sterling ring near a 'hot' sidewalk that sets the detector off. I'm going to keep that indian streak going when I hit the CIA again
